What happend to the dev?
There hasnt seemed to have been any communication or updates from the dev for a while, considering the insane amount of hacking going on currently i feel as if the dev should update the game or atleast communicate. If peoples Ips and saves are getting leaked and deleted i feel as if the dev should do something about that ASAP, Although ive heard the dev got doxxed? not sure if thats even true or whats going on.

Idk about doxxing but his Bluesky account got hacked and he said on twitter that he is going silent for awhile I guess till all the harassment goes down

if people are gonna harass a singular person to the point where they have to leave their social media then it is equally silly to expect them to be doing any work on the game.

not your fault, specifically, but thats the plain and simple of it

Aw, that sucks. Wish people weren't so terminally online and nasty.

Developers take breaks.

Damn, thats awful. As much as I love Webfishing and am really excited for future updates, I hope the dev takes the time they need cuz they dont deserve to be stressing out over a bunch of terminally online gaming chair potatos

yeah it's really a shame, you go on twitter and it's a bunch of jerks calling the dev slurs and ♥♥♥♥
knowing this game might die because it got too popular too fast is depressing

i feel like this game's popularity will die but will still have a semi-active player base, once that happens the whole exploit situation will likely also die down. such is the fate of a trendy game.

I put in 20 hours so far. I’ve now caught every type of fish, and I’ve mostly done what there is to do. Along the way, it’s been nothing but really friendly lobbies (some quiet ones too), and I think I’ll keep coming back. The chill vibes are real.

That said, I’d love to see development on new content. That’s really what would keep me, and I imagine others, interested in the game.

i dont think the game will "die" i just think it will peak and plateu at a certain player count, speaking personally i love this game because its an easy chill escape for an hour or two and i certainly know that resonates with alot of people

He is a millionaire now living in his newly acquired penthouse and yacht laughing his way to the Bank.

A bunch of freaks could t handle a little fishing game doing well. And decided for whatever reason this should be the sole target of all their hate. So the dev isn't around.

People are so lame. They could have leaked a game, or hacked a bank or something. But instead their doing parlor tricks and threatening some guy because they saw a word they disliked.

they're a hobbyist, chill out, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
