You are allowed to like things with anthro characters in them. Plenty of games, movies, shows, etc, have such characters in them. “Furry” is just a label that people apply to themselves for a sense of belonging. In this regard, it’s similar to Trekkies, etc.

Unless you were to push yourself past your limits on purpose, yes. Everyone has their limits and we rarely push past them unless we wish to.
