Xp not adding up properly

Does anyone know how to fix the xp. I have been fishing and it visually shows the xp bar go up however, it starts from 0 after every fish and doesn't keep track of past fish now. Im not sure why this all of a sudden started. I was almost levelled up today and then it just started from 0.
I have restarted the game and re-downloaded it. Not sure what else I can do. Any advise would be appreciated

what level are you by any chance?

if you're rank 50, you cannot rank up anymore after that.
