There are many reasons. Not everyone has a Switch, or any Nintendo console for that matter (Nintendo was barely a thing where I live aside from Wii and the Switch). This game is also heavily reliant on the chatroom feature, which you cannot really say about Animal Crossing. Most recent Nintendo games in fact, don't even allow you to communicate with each other. WEBFISHING serves a different purpose than Animal Crossing, and Is more of a chatroom than a game itself.

also have you considered the fact that if you dont own the game it is illegal to grab the files of the internet? some people want an actual officially released game

To be fair, this is something only influencers say thay do, to not get in trouble. Piracy is a service issue, rather than a monetary one, as we all know ;-)
