Considering the amount of toxicity in my thread i will be saying that im not paying real close attention to words and taking everything at face value. If you're willing to have a discussion on this with me im more than willing to explain anything that i said as well as listening to what you have to say, but this back and forth on any discussion about a tag is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic on both sides, this isn't even about a title at this point, its about people trying to prove a point in the worst ways by taking not jabs, but stabs.

Friends, you're literally out here upset about a tag in a game for what reason? The context behind the price and everything is because people were making bait posts about not having a straight tag in a game that's clearly aimed towards the LGBTQ+ community. We're here to fish and have fun, but now the discussion board is filled with people actually angry over this. I get that its twice the price tag of a queer shirt and yeah i get how that can make non rage baiters angry because they feel attacked, but you weren't the target audience when that was made, you were never the target audience of that tag if you're straight and feel attacked for no reason.

As multiple people have stated its not hard to get the tag, 20-30 minutes of grinding at most, maybe less depending on your upgrades, lures, baits, RNG, etc.
(Buckets really help in this case imo. Extra fish every few minutes or so if you're not idling. Its easy to get money and sometimes friends are willing to help like in my case when i asked for a bit of help to get better upgrades. Note: If you already have a diamond ring and you open a box, you get 1K instead!)

I want to remind you if you're actually angry and dont wish to play anymore, if you've played under two hours just refund and get your $5 back. Or just...Idk, hide the game from your library? You do you, im not gonna judge either way if you leave, but stop taking it here to moan about it please. Actual bug reports, concerns, and suggestions are getting buried real quick due to this. (Mine included.)

Devs please add sub forums for these!

Or better yet, get out of the discussion board and just..idk..fish, draw, treasure hunt in this game? The only reason im in here is so i can watch and bump my bug report/suggestion post.
The whole point of this experience is to relax, all this tag is doing is weeding out the bad apples and is solving nothing. Theres so many other tags that aren't LGBTQ+ that you could be using if you wish, I personally favor the creature/freaky/cryptid tags because

Idc what tag you wear at the end of the day: Straight, Queer, Bi, etc. Im here to catch golden manta rays, not argue gender stuff.

Also for people upset about having a 18+ category now on servers (Because ive seen it.):
It literally changes nothing, its just a warning that adult topics will be talked about in that lobby and viewer discretion is advised upon joining. Thats it, i dont see the reason to be upset about this. It tells you this if you hover over the option in the server select.

Please be nice in the comments too maybe? Showing your d!ck to others isn't the way to go about genuine concerns. Remember to treat others how you want to be treated, and that aggression is a two way street, thy for coming to my ted talk.

You're making the mistake of equating all straights to bigots. Many of the people complaining are giving entirely valid criticisms. We shouldn't be supporting one instance of (comparatively minor) bigotry just because we've dealt with so much worse.

The context surrounding the dev's decision to make it expensive, add a mocking description, and put it in quotation marks is something only a minor portion of the community will be aware of. Most players (not just straights) don't even read these discussions. They'll just see that their title has been treated differently and costs them 130+ times more than the other pride titles.

People saying its only 20-30 minutes of grinding are ignoring the reality of the situation. When I started playing this game I was able to get the bisexual title in a matter of minutes. But grinding enough to just afford the upgrades that cost a few hundred took time. Getting 9999 in the early game takes a long time and directly sets you back in grinding for other things. It will take a straight player longer to afford their title and get max upgrades than it would for me purely because I only had to spend 75 for my title.

There are numerous examples (and locked threads) featuring level headed criticism by straights being met with open mockery and dismissal by us. The quotation marks, description, and price tag all combine to make some people feel as though the game is singling them out and mocking them. I know if the bisexual title had been 9999, in quotations, and had a mocking description i'd have been just as upset.

At this rate, if Developers want to keep pandering to the 0.1% to 5% of people, then that's how much they'll limit their profits to if the normies aren't on board with paying for anything that shoves representation in your face. Completely aware! But yeah there might actually be that few that is genuinely upset for one reason or another and honestly i cant even tell the difference at this point, and that might be me genuinely not being able to decipher tone or jokes from text. What i said wasn't in bad faith, really, but yaknow, best safe than sorry addressing any that might actually be. Im not really even paying half a mind to the comments in this thread because i said what i felt like needed to be said in my initial statement, yaknow?

Not what i was trying to say at all. Perhaps read further down? I have plenty of friends and family thats straight, this wasn't an attack, and was more of an observation that this game is LGBTQ+ coded my friend.
