My Fellow Cis Straight People
When did you all become so fragile? How has a joke title broken you? It's embarrassing.

Gay and non-Cis people have been persecuted for hundreds of years. Pride isn't about flaunting sexuality. It's a defiant celebration of life against those who would seek to exterminate them. It's a remembrance of all those who were taken from their friends and family.

And we're crying about a joke title in a goofy game. How soft do we look now? It's pathetic. They've literally fought for their right to exist, and you were broken by some pixels.

Some of you are so desperate to be the victim. I don't know if it's because you've got internalized guilt over the injustices that have been done to the LGBTQ community in the past and you are trying to deflect some of that back, or if you want to pretend to be part of some oppressed group that are rising up against an abusive system, but those are both delusional.

When was the last time someone was literally dragged through the streets for being straight?
When was the last time a Cis man was hanged with barbed wire for simply existing?
When was the last time a Cis woman was sent to a reeducation camp and tortured until she claimed to stop liking guys?

Seriously, shut up.

Before someone worries about the straight title, they should straight up get some maidens first.

Assuming someone is Straight, Gay, etc is a problem. Titles/Tags are better for sake of clarity. Not for political reasons, but for simple understanding.

This is the first real argument I've seen, and it is a fair point.

Unfortunately, the standard assumption is that everyone is straight, so I feel like it removes part of the weight of the argument against the shirt TITLE being too expensive. Assumptions are a consequence of representation, accurate or otherwise.

The fact straight is considered the standard assumption is part of the problem. In otherwords, this joke simply continues to establish heteronormativity which isn't great for LGBT+ people or straight people.

The best solution would have been to ignore the trolls, include a Straight title with no quotations at the same price as the other. Let people define themselves how they want to be irregardless of what the status quo was or is. We can't change the past, but we can surely change the future.

Don't they throw worse insults like "groomer" as well? I think they just don't like the fact that a minority insults them.

This is a fantastic point, honestly. I don't think it enforces heteronormativity, because it in no way states "Being LGBTQ is abnormal. Heterosexuality is the only correct way to be", but I see what your reasoning is.

The assumption of straightness does come from a statistical standard, where more than 80% of people identify as straight/hetero. Being different doesn't automatically mean being wrong, but there are definitely a lot of people who think that way, so I understand the concern.
