Save File tainted

I got a visit by the Grincher and they ruined my inventory with a ton of empty items. Clicking one will crash the game, and the save editor can't remove them. I tried removing them by hand, but that just invalidates the save file. They show up in the sell menu as sword fragments and can be sold infinitely (selling them doesn't remove them). Help pls?

Start a new save file, and remember to routinely back up your save before every session so you can rollback.

There is a save editor that can help get stuff back somewhere around here in the forums on one of the solved posts but I can't rightly remember which one. :x

As I said, save editor refuses to remove the bugged items for whatever reason. I can edit anything but the bugged items, even though they show up normally in the editor. And I don't wanna restart the entire game because some hacker put a bugged item in my inventory.

Everyone knows grincher sure but i was on a server today and watched him talk to a person who he asked for there age and when they said 12 he asked if they had any nake pics. Hes soliciting children in game. Why is this man not banned? Hes literally trying to get naked pics from kids in game why is steam allowing this i reported his account maybe the mods here can help get his steam account nuked once and for all. This never should be allowed to happen in game.
