Regarding the "Straight" Title

We need an option in the options menu that changes the title to display as "Gay 2" "Gay (Deluxe)" or some other variation. Yes even when other people have it equipped.

I intend to 100% the game and don't want to waste my money on a boring title, nor do I want to see a word like that over other players' heads.

UPDATE: Because some people keep throwing the word around in this thread I'd like to remind everyone that heterophobia is not real. If you're going to respond to this thread please address the actual suggestion and do not waste your own time talking about a made up thing.

It's why I do applaud the dev for making it demeaning, but I also do want to true 100% the game and would love for the bland and boring straight title to actually be worth buying. The suggestion I open this thread with is literally just an optional setting (although it would be very funny if it was on by default).

kind of hypocritical in this case, i don't understand why straight is so evil and why gay trans bi etc is so much better, why cant it be just straight like the others, people cant just play a fishing game together? why does gay trans bi etc have to be announced to everyone but straight should be hidden and you should just change your title since the same could be said for the other titles.

fair enough yet people are still attacked for being straight and i have nothing against the lgbtq community, but the people who asked for the title did not do it in spite they just did it cause it seemed fair but the dev did make it more expensive and thus making it so straight is worth more than the others, it may or may not of been a mistake. Other than that i respect your reply.

I very rarely post, or reply to anything on Steam. However, as a Bisexual Man with a Boyfriend of nearly 10 years, I find this sort of thinking absolutely disgusting. People like this, who think like this, are the reason the LGBTQ+ community is ostracized in the first place; people like you attempting to force ideals on others. You are no better than those you claim to be defending against. This is a game about fishing, not a platform for your political and ideological world views. Bigotry is Bigotry, and you are a bigot. Oppression is Oppression, and you are an oppressor. Please learn the definitions of words before using them arbitrarily in posts in an attempt to seem intelligent, furthering your own agenda, and inadvertently causing more damage to the public image of the LGBTQ+ community.
