Golden lure and Leedsichthys ?

I am having lots of trouble finding this fish. I have like 15 golden basses, 20 golden rays everything is no problem,
but is golden lure bugged for this fish? I know it is supposed to work, but i can REALLY comfortably say it does not really seem like it helps ( maybe currently bugged?)

I play in a group and i am by far the highest lvl, reached 50 a while ago and i am hunting every raincloud and using the shower lure to prock rainclouds, then always switching to golden lure in the rain and my god i can't get this fish.

My buddies are like lvl 24 and have 5 of these fish, one even has 11 of these fish at lvl 30 he gets like 2 of them every rain. I am the one with the lowest amount of them by a longshot, all while beeing the only one using the Gold rod, something has to be off here right? I realise you can be unlucky but loosing to 10 people from who noone is using the golden lure feels weird

im lvl 42 and only have 1 golden bass and Leedsichthys... some of us are just very unlucky

Some fish are only while its raining, Leed is one of them. Get a shower lure....

It has to be raining and you have the same rate of catching it as you do using the shining lure, so just use shining so you don't waste bait and don't have to run to go get more bait in the middle of the rain.

so i just wana point out shower lure kinda sucks. its hard enough to make it spawn a cloud but worst thing is you get 2 bites max. altho it is an option its a very bad option. ps do correct me if its been changed or buffed as i havent checked it in a while

Nope, shower lure still sucks, 6% chance to get a raincloud, but no time to swap out lure or bait.

According to the webfishing calculator at chirp.re, there's no difference in Catch Chance or Rarity between Large Lure, Golden Hook, and Sparkling Lure for Leedsichthys (it's always 14.15% and can be caught with anything but worms).

With that in mind, I find it more suitable to use either Sparkling or Large over Golden, because you spend less bait.

if you're using worm bait, worm bait can only catch low tier fish, so try switching to any other bait.

wiki states otherwise tho, golden lure also working for Leed, not only for manta and bass

Yeah I hope it gets a buff, I once got a cloud and it disappeared before a fish even got hooked.

Actually I am mistaken, it's 14% from that fish pool, which itself has only an 8% chance to pull from.
