SpaceEngine

Any DEMO available?
Switched dGPU manufacturers lately and I vaguely remember there being a downloadable beta or alpha on the project's site, but can't for the life of me find it to test if it'll even work on my new system, especially given my decision of going with an AMD dGPU... in hindsight, a grave mistake...
Was it moved or is just gone completely with the project exclusively on Steam now?

That should be plenty of time to establish whether it will work properly on your system.

Old versions of SE won't tell you much (if anything) about how well the current version will run, there's been so much development since then, they use different versions of OpenGL, a lot of bugs specific to each GPU manufacturer have arisen and been fixed since then, etc.

The pre-steam version of SpaceEngine has been removed from the site as it is no longer supported. It is nearly 9 years old at this point and *does not* accurately represent the current state of SpaceEngine as it has issues launching on systems with modern graphics hardware. The current version of SpaceEngine, which is available on Steam, is frequently updated and maintained to improve its internal workings and ensure compatibility with the latest hardware, drivers, and operating systems.
