Volumetric clouds & More
I remember the developers saying they were working on volumetric clouds two years ago. I think this would be a life-improving graphical addition, adding another beautiful layer to the exploration of exoplanets. Also, are there plans to add moving layers of atmospheres for gas giants, like Jupiter has, and storms/cyclones circling? If we could ever get something like this [www.bilibili.com], this, [imgur.com] and this [imgur.com] in this mod for the KSP game, it would be terribly amazing, maybe the devs could contact that mod's creator? Just an idea

The developers are currently working on switching from OpenGL to the Vulkan API. Open GL is an obsolete programming language. Until the switch to the Vulkan API takes place, I don't think any significant graphics development is expected, it would be an unnecessary waste of energy. Vulkan API is more advanced and easier to use, after the switch, 3D volumetric clouds and other significant graphics improvements will be realized. I don't know when there will be a switch to the Vulkan API, maybe the end of this year.
