Textures stalling and not loading
Ever since one of the past updates that's changed loading I've been getting this issue. When looking at any planet for a period of time, the loading indicator in the top right will get stuck constantly loading but landscape textures will no longer load on any planet, and get stuck as a pixelated blobby mess. Is this an issue anyone else has been encountering? I tried completely reinstalling the game with reset settings and updating graphics drivers but nothing has changed. My PC is listed on my profile, but the game runs perfectly aside from this so I can't see how it would be a performance issue.

Does this happen for all planets, or only planets in the Solar System?

Yeah it's only happened on planets in the solar system.

Ok thanks for the report. Can you provide your log file as described in the pinned troubleshooting post?

Yep, this sounds like the issue I talked about in my own thread. Hope this can be fixed at some point. Previous version (pre-mars texture update) ran like butter.

Did you encounter this issue during the last session before you sent the log? I need a log that was generated during a session in which the issue occurred.

I'm pretty sure it did, I can't remember having the game open since. I'll send another log whenever I get another chance to get on and if I see it again.

Edit: I also have a screenshot of it occurring that I just remembered I took. It's dated May 24 and is only ~4 minutes after the time shown at the beginning of my se.log, so I am sure that is the session it occurred in.

Oh, that's good to know... I just got this, and after downloading over 20GB of textures (earth, mars and moon) it felt very underwhelming.
After reading a developer answer I'm a lot more hopeful.

edit: sent picture and log file to support@spaceengine.org (29/may/2021)

same here...i'm stuck with old version (intel-users one) for it's the only one that doesn't have random bugs and it's quite stable
hope it will fixed

I'm currently experiencing the same issue with Pluto with only difference I haven't noticed the indicator. Part of the Pluto looks like a perfect HD asset and the other part is just a hugely blurred spot. Haven't tested any other planets.

That is normal. Only half of Pluto has been photographed in high resolution. Only low resolution data exists for the other half.

Can not "the other half" be simulated? Like every other object outside the Solar System.

SE can't combine planet textures loaded from disk with procedurally generated planet textures right now, and such a thing is extremely complicated to do.
I'm running into texture problems too. No land masses on earth. Some other solar planets/moons with no textures. Extra solar stars with no textures.

Running the beta, no DLC.

How can I get a high quality Pluto image then? 100% simulated is OK.
