I know I can export it as a typical skybox, aka 6 images representing the faces of a cube
but I wonder if there's a way to export it as an HDRI for importing into 3D software like Blender.
Or if there's a way to convert a Skybox to a HDRI
He's probably referring to the .hdr and/or .exr file formats, both of which accomplish the same thing.

It's used as a an ambient lighting source.
it's essentially the Skybox but seen from the center in 360°

Would be awesome to generate a 360 backdrop that can light stuff using HDR exports from this game. :D

PLEASE add this feature! I would love to be able to use Space Engine more often for 3D compositing and adding other beautiful scenery to the things I can find in this game!
