Laika was in Guardians of the Galaxy!!!

Actually, the dog in the new movie was Cosmo and not Laika. I'm pretty sure Cosmo is purely fictional.
In the comics, Cosmo is a Russian dog astronaut with telepathic powers, and he's the chief security officer on Knowhere.

However, the first little puppy I thought of when I saw the movie was Laika.

I'm kind of thilled with how cosmonaut puppies are gaining some hubris in media and interactive media and I just wanted to share my findings someplace.
