Im guessing this game has been abandon by the developer?

No It hasnt.... where did you get that from?

They released a Patch in August .. the notes are "Pinned"

There are no DLC's planned but critical issues will be adressed. We will look into it if there is enough demand.

They abandoned it then on GOG as the last patchnotes there are from 25 August 2015.
