Is this anything like Reel Fishing PS1?

Now this looks like the type of fishing game ive been waiting 16 years for.
I used to love Reel Fishing on the playstation 1 (1998)
I have for years looked at fishing games releases which are few and far between.
Most were really arcadey. What I loved about reel fishing was it just felt like real fishing.
No arcadey power bars and flashing lights. Just a slighly animated photo background and your rod. Is my wait over?

Yes your wait is over.. If you havent already bought this sim BUY it lol.. i used to play reel fishing too and fish sim 2.. this is the best fishing game on the market and it will just get better and better.. early alfa so more to come.. :))

Ah, Reel Fishing. I used to play that as a kid. I also have it downloaded. I used to have another fishing game for the PC. It wasn't arcadey as you put it. I'll need to look for it. I don't think I still have the original CD. But it was a bass fishing game. And in this one could select a lake, or bay, drive your boat around, and fish. It was a really cool game. It's also old, so there's a chance you might need to install some older software in order to play it. lol

This is the first game I have played that has a "bait" style fishing. It isn't sport fishing (yet) or lure fishing. You look for signs of fish activity, cast your bait, and wait for a while. You can even put your rod down and a fish alarm will sound when you have a fish take your bait.

This game is a simulation. And the more the game expend, the more it's what we all are looking for.

Give it a try but kerp in mind it's an early acces.
