What bait/rig do you use for the monster fish?

Howdy folks, kind of new to this game but I landed a good Catfish for a noob.

However I wanna try to land one of the monster fish I keep hearing about... the majorly big ones... (Don't all anglers?) and folks on YouTube and the like make it look easy... please share with me your tips/baits/rigs you're using to get the real lunkers to bite.

Hi there, in my opinion all the rigs are good. The trick is to match all the elements perfectly.

Chod = 18mm or 20mm pop up baits only (must be fished in weeds)

IQ rig = 18mm or 20mm Sinking bait (silt) <-----(my 3 rods use this 18 mm Dumbell)

DF rig = 18mm or 20mm Sinking bait (gravel) some rigs use pop ups so always read the rig notes. just make sure they match as gravel can be a great carp spot also. This is why I fish silt for the Cats. Also this rig is great for fishing tiger nuts as it is made for fishing double corn.

KD rig = 18mm or 20mm pop up bait only (silt)

I also use the 25lb line. It is in the course fishing section and is only 600 TP. It stops small fish from biting. Big fish only is good right?!

I also use the 'Sonik' rods and reels but this is not a must of course. I just like them :)

I only have 6 big cat boss fish to go.

i got some on the hook 6..the 98lb cat in st johns lol
i prefer a hook 6, beacuse i get more baits then, i fish only with one rod always

On smaller hooks you will get more fish, this is true. However 'monsters' like big bait so I use the hooks and line to match. 25lb line cuts out small fish and I only catch Cats and Carp over 20lb. 3 rods, means a fish every 5 mins or less. Great way to make money for the Tackle Shop.

Just my thoughts on bigger fish catching.

I used the mentioned rig by MrTingg with the dark dumbell bait... I was looking into the profile though about some of these boss fish and it mentions using baits that I'm not seeing in the tacklebox or the tackleshop.

and yeah, I think the people who first caught the fish got to name them. Also maybe they got to write the description too..? Not sure on this though, just a guess.
