When you have landed a fish and before you net it reduce the drag to around 20. It would be nice if one could reduce the drag when not actually holding the rod - as in real life.
You must be easily impressed or work for DTG. Paying money for a totally broken game is not in any way a fair price. This update has done nothing other than to add length to fish fights and fish zooming across the water like they were driving speed boats. Baits still moving across the lake .
Poor strike where did this nonsense come from? No such thing. You either hit it or miss it there is no in between and for fish to spit hooks because it was deemed a poor strike is laughable. Nobdy can see underwater and know exactly how the fish is interacting with the bait. For all we know the fish could of picked the bait up and spat it out and yet you get a perfect strike. ( IRL is the main cause of foul hooking) . The hook can set anywhere in the fish's mouth . You could lip hook or it could swallow the hook. Striking has no bearing on this whatsoever. Very disappointed after waiting so long and we get nothing but DLC for a broken game which still has every single bug it had prior to it.
Whe you get a bite and you strike what you need to do is pull the rod straight up and towards you as quick as possible and not to the side or you will lose the fish.
I use a PS4 controller and it works fine for me I catch about 90% of the fish when I strike I lose the odd fish for striking too soon or too late.
Are the floats bugged? It seems like the lines are always snapping when we pull back to set the hooks.
I've even let the fish start swimming away with it before yanking back, but it makes no difference. I hear the exact same sound and see my hook fly out of the water.
The game does provide you with the option for 3440x1440, but then you lose a great deal from the bottom of the screen for some reason.
Maybe the devs can look into sorting out the 3440x1440 and sort out this annoying part to this game?
But as already mentioned, the other reason for losing fish is having multiple rods. You’re playing one, and often, you have bites on the other two rods. If you can land the first fish, it’s then a choice of which rod to pick up, if both of them are still “running”.
I’ve just fished the Linear Fisheries lake and landed Pale Tail (?), and 47lb cat. Luckily, I didn’t have a single bite on either of the other roads out as it took me, in game time, about 1hr 20mins to land the thing.
