That sucks :/ unfortunately I never found a fix for it.
Sadly, the game looks abandoned by now. I don't think there will be a real fix coming from the devs, but would like to make a suggestion. I've read you can use DXVK in Windows and it just so happens that this game still works fairly well with Proton under Linux. Maybe it's worth a try using DXVK?
Thank you for the suggestion. :) I think you might be right though it seems the game is mostly being left alone by the devs these days. I think what prompted the update was a change in the game's name? I could never launch it after they changed that. I'll probably just let this one go as unfortunate as it is since it's a fun game. Thanks again for your idea, if I ever find the urge to try to revive the game again I'll definitely give it a try.
