I have the same problem on Ubuntu 16.04. Looks like this game uses Wine or some type of wraper for Microsoft DLL's. The game does not launch due to missing a DLL fine. Here is the log file showing the launch error. I'm sure the fix is simple, but at the moment the game is not playable. https://paste.kde.org/pqrvbc9ao

lol wtf I bought this game in & for Linux and now the support was dropped after the fact :O

It worked great before, what the crap has happened here ?.?

beta 16 doesn't run either 100% cpu load on one core just like the reg version.

& experimental version not running as well need to be killed as all versions dont react anymore.

Why is the game not working ? Is this because of Kernel updates or what ever or because of new patches dropping Linux support ?

This is pretty lame if people bought this game from an external key seller, basicly the devs are robbing peoples cash and keeping it in their pockets.

I bought this game on Steam so I'm going to demand a refund, even though I bought the game a long time ago.

Sharpened Edge Studios , effectively has pressed the kill button for people on Linux on this game, something that is illegal under EU law, as my digital items are/where remotely devalued, while the game still exists and is sold for other platforms.

I paid for Linux support and Sharpened Edge Studios & Valve want to keep the money in their pockets, while not delivering the digital items, this is outright theft and a scam and I will report this criminal act to the police and the dutch consumer protection agency, I will block all games from Sharpened Edge Studios, and post about this theft and scam on multiple platforms.

Arg... Shame cause outside of the terrible facial animations. this is the best shoot them up I've played. I'm having a hard time putting below Raptor: Call of the Shadows.

This sucks, they should've just not released a Linux binary at all, Proton is a lot better than an old broken version of WINE and an install.sh file that doesn't even run.
