How many players allowed at once?

Thinking about picking this up and playing with my friends, so the question is how many players can play at the same time on the Online coop?

Rampage Knights is awesome in co-op. I play it all the time. If you're looking for a 3 or 4-player game, check out a game called: Son of a Witch. It's very similar idea to Rampage Knights (roguelike brawler), but supports 4 players.
