Steam Downloads nothing into game folder [SOLVED]

I downloads in less than a second and than i can't start it.

the link in steam seem not finding the file for the game when you use other language in steam, the programmer need to correct the path to make it able to find the good file, because for now it's broke the game when steam install it in your default language...

2 - try to install it, if it's not working, right click on the name of the game and go into the language tab and choose "English"
3 - the game begin to download

wow...ya that doesn't sound like it's downloading at all. That is from steam? weird that it would be doing that. uninstall and try again? The file is over 300megs so it should take atleast a few seconds to download and then install for you...

try validating your game cache,

To validate a game’s cache, right-click the game in your Steam library and select Properties. In the properties window, click the Local Files tab and click the Verify Integrity of Game Cache button.

Steam should look at the files, realize it didn't download anything and fill in the blanks.
I have been looking more into the steam troubleshooting but not a whole lot to be found on the issue. But definitely...the game isn't even downloading onto your system.

Same problem for me as well. It doesnt actually download anything but says it does but it verifies that nothing has been downloaded. And surprise surprise the support function doesnt even work. nothing better than a company that takes your money then ignores the after market service, Its the one reason that makes electronic purchasing such a crock.

I switched from my PC to laptop and it's downloading here. I'll make a backup when it's done and try to d/l from PC again before installing the backup.

I'm trying to find some steam forums or other that have more information on this issue as it is definitely the steam api that is having an issue (what I've found so far is that this has happened on lots of other games too...) but very few solutions other then full reinstall of Steam which ...would annoy me :p

This isn't the first game I've seen with users reporting similar issues with the Steam download.

Verifying/validating the game cache helped some but not all. Wish I remembered more.

The backup I made on my laptop won't install on my Pc. It's says installation was succesfull but it used 0 kb from the backup file :)

This has happened to me a few times with alot of newly released games, either clear your cache or restart Steam and redownload (especially the latter).

Same problem here. Installing basically... doesn't.

When you double-click a game in your library to install it, it'll usually say "You are about to install [name of game]." and shows you how much disk space it'll take; in this case, it just says "You are about to install Lantern Forge.", but doesn't show disk space. After "installing" it, in the download manager, it shows 0kb of download.

Tried restarting Steam, I had an update, hoped that would help... didn't change anything. Personally never encountered this problem with other games.

Gonna wait a while to see if there's a fix, as I don't feel like reinstalling Steam.

i install the game on my wife computer, on my steam, and it works. And not on mine. I don't understand...

One of the main "fixes" has been to uninstall Lantern Forge completely, then shutdown steam (not restart, but exit out completely) then start it back up, then try again. This has worked for other games and someone has had success with Lantern Forge working in this manner as well. Seems like it's some kinda steam sync issue....

really hope this works and I'm really sorry that people have had issues with it, If anyone else comes up with any solutions that work please let us know :)

so did i just waste 10 bucks or what the game doesnt really install it takes 2 seconds not even to install then it says missing game executable yet when i look for the folder nothings in it..wtf
