Slowdown difference between xbox360 and PC
Just played this for 30 minutes and it seems to me that the slowdown parts (graveyard boss rock attacks for example) are more severe than on the xbox 360 version.
While in the console version the game suddenly went to slow down mode, here it feels like you are playing with 6 fps all of a sudden. (Yes, my hardware can handle it.)

So my question to the cave fanatics: Is there a "slowdown difference" between console and pc version or am i seing things? If there is a difference, which version is more accurate to the original arcade board?

BTW: Where is Muchi Muchi Porku? :)

The Steam port of this game doesn't have enough slowdown, and it closely resembles the NA release of Xbox 360 version before it was patched.

We've been told that they are looking at it, and hope that the added slowdown closer to the arcade/patched console version make it into the Steam release. Unfortunately there hasn't been an update in a while.

Certainly hope it is addressed before Daifukkatsu comes out, and might be a deciding factor in whether or not I decide to purchase that title.

Sorry i should have clarified that: Im playing "arcade mode". As far as i know, the other modes do indeed have no slowdown right now.
So my question still stands but its pointed towards arcade mode.

Has there been any news on a fix for this? It would be nice to know where we stand.
I've only put in around 5 hrs on the Steam version, because of this issue.
Mushihimesama got great support with patches, so I remain optimistic.

Hopefully a way can be found to mimic the slowdown for this pc/Steam release.

Agreed- I would never want anyone to ever intentionally add slowdown to any game. I'm for getting rid of slowdown.

Plenty of shmups have slowdown intentionally added for the sake of playability, and occasionally for dramatic effect.

Agreed, slowdown in these games can feel epic and have great effect. Plus, they don't go through the trouble of making these games with proper slowdown just to remove it afterwards, they are designed with the slowdown in mind. Tweak it, sure, but honestly I find it troubleing that they don't bring their ports to 100% arcade slowdown perfection. The xbox360 gameplay looks much smoother. Come on guys, get these games as close to perfection as possible, I'd argue it's pointless to bring them across otherwise. I'm hoping they fix this and DoDonPachi!
