I've seen the devs respond in several threads though, so at least they visit the forum occasionally.
They probably won't respond to a thread such as this unless they have something to say. As they (DotEmu) don't own the rights to Double Dragon, deciding something like this would not be up to them. And as there are only a handfull of people who have written in the thread, this does not indicate that there's some huge amount of interest and does not really warrant a response really.
