Start of the Grind
The game's been super fun but I think I've hit the stage where it's going to be a grind.
I'm only at level 35 and it takes two games at ego 75 just to level up (average 500 000/game). If it's like this right now I can't imagine what the later levels would be.
I really enjoy getting the new boosts to better my teams but I feel it's going to take a very long time.

So my question is how long does it take to level up in the later levels? I don't want to lower my ego and dominate the other teams by a lot. My games last about half an hour.

I enjoy playing the games a lot so I don't consider it a grind. More like the occasional bonus for playing well.

Not sure if this answers your question but I'm at level 65 now with roughly 150 hours playtime. Seems like it gets slower to level up the higher you go. But I guess it would go much faster for better players playing at higher EGO levels.

It definitely slows down from the very beginning. You have to find a balance between your level and your Ego - always keep your Ego higher than your level to optimize points earned. You have the potential to earn more on higher Ego levels, but if you can do significantly better on a lower Ego (still higher than your level) it might be worth a shot, to see if you can get more points. However, leveling up every other game sounds about right. :-)

I hit a wall with the level over ego in the 90s. Right now I'm level 97 and still competing on level 92 for ego. If I think about it I'll post my progress screen next time I'm playing.

I recently maxed out my levelling at around 430 million points.

I'm playing on ego 99 now, averaging about 700-800k points per game, which hasn't changed much since ego 80. Actually, I think my records for points over a season have come at ego 80-85.

I'm about 25% through a long season on 99 now and winning about .700. I've also put about 500 hours into the game, so take that into account too.

I feel the same way on the points per game. A win is somewhere around 700k and that hasn't changed much, maybe slightly higher where I would be able to break a season record but not by much. Winning over 90 ego requires your team to be stacked with good staff.

I've said before I'm not a great pitcher, so I rely heavily on the long ball. My wins are mainly because I out slug the enemy.

How do you hit at ego 60? It always seems hard at first until it's automatic, but ego 60 has me stuck. Any pointers? The batting is impossible.

work the pitchers some to tire them out. Take the first few pitches, take the pitch count as high as you can with each batter. By the 5-6th inning the velocity is off and if you can keep the game close until then thats when you can get some runs.

Many of the teams ace pitchers are crazy hard to hit, if you dont try to tire them out your going to be in trouble. Also as you grind for pts and upgrades you'll find your batter being more competitive with the game and you'll find yourself moving up in ego again. Just not as quick as it went up to this point.

Couple other posts in the discussion thread that talk about it too, if you feel like it, do a little checking around and see what you can see.
