thanks, but I made sure that I held the button, so this is not the solution. I figured, that the batter would not power swing either, when the problem occurs.
This happens once or twice over 9 innings. The animation looks like, as if he swings halfway.
just an update about the problem (solved):
I found out that the game registers very small movements of the right analogue stick, even in the mechanical "deadzone" of the stick.
The problem occurs, when the stick is slightly pushed backwards. A touch of the stick towards the front solves the problem.
