Unusual player-position abbreviation: BN.

Some of the abbreviations for the players' positions are strange, and I don't recognize them. (And there's not much about baseball that I don't know.) I looked in the game's forums, the FAQ, and the in-game Glossary, but didn't find answers.

BN has me stumped. Does it mean "bench" player? (If it does, I'm surprised that the term "utility" player wasn't used, instead.)

Yes, it means bench :-)

Bench isn't really the same as a utility player - it relates to the player's status in the lineup, so BN players aren't starting in any position in the upcoming game.
