GGX2#Reload - Korean Soundtrack Mod

I'm not the one who uploaded it, but I figured I'd share it in case anyone is interested. For those who don't know, the Korean version of Guilty Gear XX #Reload had an exclusive soundtrack (composed by Korean artist Shin Hae-chul) that's completely different from the one used in the Japanese and English language releases (composed by Daisuke Ishiwatari, the series director). This mod (originally for the GoG.com version) changes the music tracks to the ones used in the Korean release.

Just replace the music folder in the game directory with the one in the rar file. I highly recommend creating a backup of the old music folder just in case though.

A few things to note:

1. This doesn't change the intro movie at all (because the movie file is an mpg and uses it's own audio). However, playing the opening theme in the sound test WILL play the Korean track.

2. The titles of the songs in the sound test will still use the names from the English/Japanese soundtrack, but play the music from the Korean version (this is due to simply the sound files being switched out, and not any of the game's code changed).

3. Includes both 22k and 44k sound versions.

4. Tracks 33, 41, and 42 are all the same song (Vortex Infinitum) due to Robo-Ky only having one theme in the Korean soundtrack.

I agree, but after playing the game for so many years, it's nice to have something different.

It appears that a number of uploads of the Korean Soundtrack have been taken down, probably due to copyright infringement.

If you're able to acquire the Soundtrack, Step 3 of the Netplay Guide includes a short set of instructions I wrote to make use of the higher quality music - but it should work for any music files:

Disregard the "\44k\" and just substitute that with the source of the Korean OST. Feel free to ask if there are any problems.

Is there no site with the mod uploaded anymore? I found the Korean soundtrack but I don't want to go through the effort of converting everything...♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ copyright crap and people thinking Sendspace is a good idea for uploading files when they always expire stuff...

i'm not expecting to get an answer since this thread is actually ancient but does anyone have a similar mod that does the same thing but with the korean voices instead?

i'm interested in hearing them as there is almost no record of their existence on the english speaking internet
