Guilty Gear X2 #Reload

If you owned #Reload for PS2 - then this is the exact same game - no changes. The only difference is that the PC version can be modified to support netplay. This includes the Steam version.

If you're talking about the Original GGX2 (not #Reload).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guilty_Gear_X2_updated_versions#Guilty_Gear_X2_.23Reload

This version is the first update to the original Guilty Gear X2.
Being an update - it features the exact same graphics (some variations) as the original, but has a few additions (see link).

Other than what's mentioned above - this IS the first PS2/Xbox release.

But if you owned any installments newer than #Reload, such as Slash, or any of the Accent Core revisions - then this will be a slight step backward.
The netplay is still a huge advantage for the PC release though.

THanks :8bitheart: exactly what I wanted to know. I already have the PS2 GGX2 (original/vanilla) but if it had new characters, 1920x1080 res, I thought the $8 would be worth it for the "upgrade."

#Reload, or even AC+R for that matter, will probably never be redone to support 16:9 resolutions. This isn't for lack of caring, but rather because the game was balanced around the space that a 4:3 aspect ratio provides. Even the PS3/PSVita versions of AC+R maintain the 4:3 ratio, just with bars on the sides.

There is support for higher resolutions. I am currently running the game in 1920x1200, Fullscreen.

But as Flotilla pointed out - the game becomes slightly stretched. I still think it looks nice though.

And the 4:3 aspect ratio limit of the old Guilty Gear games are exactly why we need Guilty Gear Xrd to come to PC ;)
