Windowed Mode is too small, and won't change resolutions

Is there any way to fix this? I don't like playing games fullscreen

Use the configuration utility.

I had the same problem. What I ended up doing was turning it to window mode, exiting the game, and then going back into configuration mode. I then turned on full screen true color and at that point it allowed me to click on "aspect ratio fixation" which made it full screen. Hope that helps!

I'm not asking about the ASPECT RATIO, i'm asking about the RESOLUTION. As in, how big windowed mode is. Windowed mode is a small little box on my screen because I have a large resolution screen.

GG is stuck at 640x480. And I'm going off the GOG version here, so maybe it still works.

I use DXWnd[sourceforge.net] to change the window size.
Leave GG's config set to fullscreen
Then load DXWnd
Edit->Add
Set name and path to ggx2.exe
Optionally set the Window initial position and size
Hit OK
Check to make sure File -> Hook -> Start is checked
Start GG through Steam.
The game window should allow resizing and maximizing now.
From now on start DXWnd before GG.

If you have the netplay patch you can try the "ZoomX/ZoomY" multiplier in ggxxnet.ini.
