The trailer music is by Erik Satie called Gymnopedie No. 1 I believe. We felt that it fitted the trailer well and gets across the nature of the game. I'm not sure what movie it might have been in but it's a beatiful piece so it must have been in something good.

The soundtrack within the game, which I think is equally as atmospheric and suiting, was especially created for Morphopolis by a great young composer called Thom Robson.www.thomrobsonmusic.com

It is a great piece indeed. A quick search revealed that "Gymnopédie No. 3 is played as a part of the soundtrack in Jaco Van Dormael's 2009 film Mr. Nobody."

I came to this forum looking for the same answer. I've probably heard it on Love Hina, Persona 2 and The Royal Tenenbaums. Probably not only that, that's just what I got from wikipedia. But I probably remember it from a game, it being played over and over. I'm not convinced I remember it from Persona 2, since I've played it only for a short while. I'm curious now
