Voice chat disable?

How do I turn off voice chat in game? Me and my friends use a Team Speak server since we like having options with our audio setup. I'd like to be able to turn off the voice chat on here so we don't have double voice coming through.

Pretty sure you press "N".

Thx but nop, we can't speak through the steam chat, mic is "taken" by the game :(

Pressing M mutes the other player. It doesn't mute you.

It does broadcast without pressing anything. But not always.
C key seems to act like a toggle more than a press to talk button.
But after testing it with someone even that's not a sure bet. Sometimes they hear me when I just laugh at a shot and not press or toggle anything.
Definitely something they need to fix.

You can mute the player in the pause menu?

When you are on voice chat - can you provide more info in which circumstances this works without pressing 'C' to talk? We cannot reproduce this in the office

Why don't you just fix the voice so that we have total control over it instead of YOU taking control of it? I have voice chat disabled in steam, no recieve, and no mic connected to pc. Yet I still hear sounds when playing others online, even after muting player, which is a pain in the azz to have to do every game. You have no right to take control of the mic in any which way or form, and I shouldn't have to hear others at all when I set it in steam NOT to..

We don't have to press it at all. It just broadcasts when it hears our voice.
Other times it doesn't.

Had one guy singing to some pop song and didn't know he was on mic.
I asked if he could hear me. (without touching the C key.)
He replied "Yep"
Then I told him he was openly broadcasting his song. But he didn't hear me that time because I didn't press C. So I pressed it and then he stopped.

So whatever you can make of that. One strange bug.
