Report a translation problem
I suppose there's a hint for that puzzle somewhere in the mansion, but I did not see it either.
What's odd, though, is that there even is an achievement for solving this puzzle without clues. But I did not get that achievement. So the game apparently thinks that it showed me a clue, but I must have overlooked it.
(Interestingly, the icon of the achievement spoils the puzzle's solution. Not sure if that's intended.)
Split spoilers up to give more and more levels of detail in case you want different levels of hints to figure this out =P.
Maybe I'm the only one that did it this way because I did not care about the calendar, the display cases, or the paintings.
@nestharus: You seem to mean a completely different door. I see no rings there.
