Help on the final mission?

The final mission. Ya know when you fight arcadius with his endless swarms of mechs and ships. Can someone help me beat it?i have done it so many times yet can't beat it .

I am a causal gamer. I hate it to struggle. So call me a @@@@@ however I cheated, in all thier games.
Great storyline. It was immensely fun!

The way I see it you'll need to use your commands and blast the hell out of the battle ships with the cannon and run like hell. The cannon in the command section also wipes out all ships/mecha it hits along the way. At least thats what I am gonna try when I get back to it since the save system is apparently broke atm.
