Deadly black cloud of fire and lightning

How to deal with the fast moving, deadly, lightning and fire, black cloud in the corridor of the ruins? It kills me like in 2 seconds - all the time - no matter where I am trying to hide. I would appreciate some help with this.

Don't use your torch, those beasts are fond of fire ^^ You can use your flashlight, or crystals.

It sees heat, including your body heat if you are too close. It is blind but can pick up your body heat, so hiding behind a wall doesn't help. You just need to stay clear of it and not use a torch (more heat).

I was not sure about body heat ... that's why they tend to follow me when I'm close, even with my godess flashlight! Thanks for the lore/gameplay info Sjoerd :D

I have finaly tricked this cloud - I have made 2 small fires (using branches) in one of the rooms as a bait, hiding myself behind the corner. The cloud took the bait and I was free to run through the corridor having cloud behind my back - it worked :)

You might also try being super sneaky with the teleport disc.

Thanks for the info about those deadly cloud.

Personnaly I run like a crazy and pass the cloud, he hurt myself but I'm not dead and with one or two healing alien thingy and a good sleep I've recover my health.

I just put the teleport disc down ran backwards a while untill the cloud was well past the disc, then teleported far forward. Seemed to do the trick.

I actually waited in the room nearby behind the heat crystal in the middle of the room, the cloud actually didn't come into the room when I didn't have the fire torch equipped. Then the cloud turned around heading back the other way through the middle, so I dashed past it hugging the wall.

It's cool that there are different methods but Synit and others had the right idea with the teleporter though, don't know why I didn't think of that, duh.

I found that if you wait for the cloud monster to go by the room (with heat crystal in the middle), it makes a left turn just in front of the doorway and proceeds down the other side of the stairs, back to where it came from.. Once it makes the turn, follow it and keep left and on the stairs (just down from the room), run and keep running until you reach the end and into the caves.
