VR support is ridiculous...
...ly awesome!

Played this on a friend's house. There's no way someone plays this and doesn't get sold into VR. THANKS A TON! This is like the 10th game that alone could justify a Vive purchase. I got 120+ games for my Vive and this is Definitely into my Top 10. Thanks a ton!

Seconded. I don't have as many VR titles but it's in my top 5 for sure.

Any idea what kind of settings I should use to get this to play on Vive smoothly? It seems Unreal games tend to get super choppy at times and I haven't figured out what to do, if I lower the graphical settings the stutter actually get's worse!

I have 16 gigs of ripjaw ram an 8 core AMD FX processor 3.5ghz (can OC to 4.1, but currently isn't) and an Radeon RX490 8 gig liquid VR graphics card. I score in the lower end of the green zone of the Steam VR readiness test and most games tend to work fine... I just need some help to figure out what's causing the issue, my play area is 2m by 2m at the moment.

Most likely shadows is killing your framerate. Make sure shadows are set to Low. In fact if you score in the lower en in the Steam VR test, everything but textures should probably be set to low to begin with.

Just saw you mentioning lowering settings can make things worse, which is weird. We have have issues before with the AMD FX chips, which is resolved now though, but it was related to audio effects which would bottle up the FX since it only uses a single thread or something similar. So if you are experiencing it on other games that is most likely the issue.

I'm in the green on the Steam VR test, which means I am "VR Ready" it's just not on the extreme right of the green. Really can't figure out what's causing this judder, but if I reduce resolution, it gets worse, I've messed with all the settings, but honestly playing this on Ultra is the same as playing it on Low. If I don't move my head it's all good and smooth and I can navigate with the track pad fine, but when I start looking around, like going from left ot right about 1/2 through the turn I get a jitter and lose a ton of frames.

Aside from the cost, there is one reason someone would not be "sold" on VR. Some people get very sick when they use VR technologies, to the point of vomiting. That can make enjoying a game really difficult.
This is because of Frame rate, this is what some people explained me. ANd this is why I don't wanna make my Vr first experience with a lower end graphic card but with a better one... I know rx 580 can sustain it especially with a power house behind it that I fortunately have but I think it's worth passing to 5700 even if now the BIG NAvi is coming from AMD.
