Monopoly Tycoon, Capitalism 2, Locomotion, Sid Meier's Railroads, Industry Giant series.
There were some old tycoon games on the Amiga too - Air Bucks and Detroit.
In my opinion the best tycoon games are the multiplayer ones that let you compete with a friend to make the most money and compete with each other. Monopoly Tycoon is really cool.
I don't bother with all the single player ones. Air Bucks looks kind of similar to this game. In Air Bucks each player (and computer AI player) controlled their own airline and bought and built planes. You would try to fly on the most profitable routes and compete with each other to make money and improve your planes and set the passenger and goods prices. Set too high and you get very few customers.
As someone said above it is a real shame that GOOD tycoon games have died a death or resulted in very basic single player versions (e.g. Airline Tycoon) or horrible mobile phone games.
JoWood used to make many good Tycoon type games but unfortunately they closed up. :(
Transport Tycoon
Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 + 3
Pizza Tycoon (original)
Theme Hospital
Railroad Tycoon 2
Zoo Tycoon 1 + 2
Game Dev Tycoon
Simcity 2000
Those were the days..
While I appreciate your honesty and dedication, why would I want to buy Teminal 2 if 3 is so much better and coming out in a year?
In order to support a better future product. In order to suggest features you might want to see improved. Perhaps your just craving a strategy game and want something different. It's not like your investing in an MMO and setting aside 12 months to play before they pull the plug either.

edit: Oh yeah, Stronghold, Airline Tycoon, Capitalism and Vermeer just came to my mind too.
Another edit: The Guild!!! Awesome medevil business simulation!
Question! Why not just make one game and just update it with better graphics and features?
He kinda needs to make a living, and he wont be doing that by giving away patches, will he?
Did you consider that the engine might be different as well?
You seriously need a PC upgrade, 64MB vid cards? Thats 15 years ago, I remember because I was in my final year of highschool with a voodo5500 card.
I can play this on my PC obviously, but I can't use it.
