Well sorry, but you obviously are a troll. A troll is someone who claims people who give tips and know what they are talking about would act superior and then say " they are not ".
I gave some proper hints everyone should be able to use ingame. As I said, they work totally fine for me.
PS: If you think someone who knows these few points I listed there 'acts superior' then you should better go for an other game, like sims or counter strike.
Go ahead kid.
1) Infantry has superior viewing power
With 80 view range infantry has more viewing power than tanks (60-40) so mixed groups can target the enemy while remaining in the fog of war.
2) Infantry is more resistant to attacks (at least in Fall of the Reich) and has a central role in delaying enemy attacks
Usually tanks are easy to destroy, 2 hits and they blow up. An procumbent Infantry squad survives a lot longer, when under fire. Especially when entrenched the enemy needs 20-30 seconds to deal with a squad, which gives you time to target on them or to wait for the arrival of new reinforcements.
3) Assault Infantry excels in close range combat against tanks
Grenades of the assault infantry have 30 mm penetration, while aiming at the ROOF armour. So they can take out every tank with ease, when getting close to it. Even though the enemy will try to drive through them, this tanks can use its gun against the tanks that support the infantry charge.
4) Infantry keep enemy Infantry away.
The best way to deal with combined enemy attackes is to mix your own troops too. Against infantry Infantry remains the best counter.
And here is the basic problem. Hardly anyone knows how to command infantry.
Tanks perform at their best when they are controlled directly, infantry does better when it is controlled indirectly. Infantry is played by giving them an forcefully advance order. Gather your attack forces. Give them a forcefully advance order via clicking the attack button and click at the ground the the area where the units shall attack. The units will start moving there, all with the same slow speed. To reset the original speed of every unit give the infantry a movement mode order... this will reset the speed for all units. Let the tanks keep pace with the infantry. (If you just want the infantry to perform an anti infantry support role, click right on the grenade button to disable grenade use. After the Infantry will just attack soft targets but no more tanks. (Can be useful, because infantry prioritises the closest target.))
All this probably dont works for the single player, but I am just speaking for the multiplayer.
I find hard to use only infantry, but for me is rather necessary and absolutelly useful in all Blitzkrieg games.
The extended view range, the posibiity to entrench them, and the good use of grenades in towns make them powerful defenses. and the officers give an extra wiew range absolutely essential. I consider reduced units as recon units with their officer.
Thanks for the help, both Legatus and Locust
