BLITZKRIEG WON'T LAUNCH, HELP PLEASE!

Every time i click play i get the option for anthology, fall of the reich and liberation but for some unknown reason i can only play fall of the reich and liberation. When i select anthology and click play nothing happens, please write your opinions, thank you.

I fixed the problem. Did a manual install of DirectX.

I have the same problem, install the directX manually but it still does not work

Do the following:
1. Open file explorer and go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam
2. Copy a file called "Steam.dll"
3. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blitzkreig 2 Anthology\Blitzkrieg 2\bin
4. Paste in that folder and try starting the game.
5. Repeat the process with the other expansion packs.
Solution also works with other games with the same problem.

I have played Blitzkrieg I and II for a long time. I have always had trouble with this game. In the earlier version, before Anthology I would start the game and it would go through a part of the introduction and then it freezes. Starting for the second time it works fine. This version, Anthology, it seems to not work the first time. I use the Task Manager to end the process, game.exe. I restart and it works fine.

All you need to do to run this game on Windows 10,8 or 7 is to check that Direct play is enabled in functions of the system (Settings/Programs/Enable or disable windows functions "Older version components" must be tick.
Also you need to find game exe file in steam directory on HDD, click properties/compatibility TAB, set to run the game in Windows 7 or XP compatibility mode, tick "run program as administrator" and "turn off full screen optimalisation" then confirm changes.
Do the same thing with exe files of "Fall The Reich" and "Liberation" Add-Ons.
Game should run without any problems then if only Graphic Card drivers are updated to newest version.
I hope it will help to run this game as is work on my Laptop with Win 10 Pro x64.

Copied MSVCR120.dll and MSVCP120.dll to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Blitzkreig 2 Anthology\Blitzkrieg 2\bin. This is all I had to do to get my installation running. These can be found for free at DLL-FILES.COM. I downloaded the 32 bit versions.

seems to work, i also disabled fullscreen optimization

hi, i can't play the main game,only dlc,what should i do?(i'm on wind7)i've playd this game like 15 years ago on cd,today i decided to buy & replay it on steam but does'nt work,i've tried sono advice from above but does'nt work
pls help

hi,i already manage to fix my problem the same day on my help request,but i had to install MSVCR140.dll not MSVCR120.dll from microsoft on 64 bit ,thx 4 advice anyway stingray & jaenas ,alredy played the american campain and it brings me memory from when i play it as a kid,cool game for his time
