All in all:
BK1. Isometric but nice graphic, hard missions for beginners, you have to combine your units abilities to avoid heavy losses, and keeping units alive.
BK2. full 3d graphic but from the first generation, very ugly, more like "select units and rush the enemy" gameplay style, dozens of reinforcements in battlefield.
I like the first one more, since i'm a player from the late 90s. Anyway the first game, and all of its brothers(cuban missile crisis, stalingrad etc.) running fine on modern computers, but many of us have a little lag in BK2 regardless from selected graphic detail options. Try both of them, and choose your destiny.
and this link is for all mods maps and patches needed to make your BK even better http://www.geocities.jp/kwx50/lbk/FF_index.htm
if you need any advice or instructions for the mods and patches, just ask me!
I will send you an invite for our BK group... please join if you wish.
