Just order tanks to halt or reverse and order them to move again when infantry will kill the crew.
Also use infantry to damage enemy tank's tracks. This is very usefull if you will need to fight enemy tanks that are mcuh more powerfull that yours. This is the only one way to defeat some top level panzers like Elephant that could take most of your tanks before getting killed.
Infantry is always trash. Thats why in ral life the casualties were enormous.
Btw dont forget to have at least 1 person from squad to survive so you can replentish the whole squad from supply tracks.
I agree that paks are often useless (unless there is defending orders), but captured flaks always save your units from enemy air raids. Same goes for long range artilery that will help your effort.
