Good game,
However, steam version is different in location and folder structure. At first you should create a Mods folder in steam/steamapps/common/Blitzkrieg Anthology...If the mod requires the original Blitzkrieg, you have to create the Mods folder there. If some mods need Rolling Thunder or Burning Horizon, you need another Mods folder to those locations.
Then you simply copy your mod files to the Mods folder, start the game, go to the Load Mod section and select your mod.
Some mods have setup files which install the game directly to the location of the disk version, to Program Files/Blitzkrieg/Run. You need to install an old copy or pirated version to install the mod, then you could copy the files to your steam versions Mods folder.
Some mods called Major mods have different settings, music etc and change some files in the original game during install, so make backups if you want to play the base game again.
Anyway...You have "built in" mods in your game. If you change your language to russian, the game will download Total Challenge series 1-5 and Green Devils expansions. The game creates a Mods folder and the stuff is there. You can copy those files to a safe location, and rewert the base game to the english version. After that, you have these famous mods from official source, but only in russian language so the briefing and the units name are in russian format unfortunately, the base game and the menus remain english.
Just followed your advice with the 100 Day War mod (East Africa), mate, but when I go to Options > Load Mod, just the two original boxes show up, and not the mod. What could be the problem? Created the folder inside Blitzkrieg, since I don't know if the mod needs RT or BH.
East Africa mod has an installer as i remember. Did you change the default install path from c:/program files/nival../blitzkrieg/run to the steam location mentioned above? If yes, it should show up in the game.
If it doesn't show up, try my another method. Download the russian version(simply click on your game in the library, then properties, and languages, change it to russian). The game will create a mods folder itself with some add-ons. Copy this mods folder to safe location, and redownload the english version, it will remove the mods folder but you can copy it back. After all, copy your East Africa content to this mods folder. Some of my friends had a problem, when he created the mods folder and not the game.
And last thing, i use win7 64, if you have newer OS maybe try to rename the "Mods" folder to "mods" with lower case.
If nothing works, i have to pass, sorry.

Very much so. They have some extremely strange ideas about history, and any attempts to correct them are just met with accusations that you're a "Western Fascist Revisionist".
Bunch of neo-Communist ♥♥♥♥♥rs. I've dealt with them off and on now since 2003. They claim to be 40+ year old individuals but, I strongly doubt it. No-one who lived under the Soviet Union would glorify it the way they do.
Mods that require activation go in Blitzkrieg\Mods (so for example Blitzkrieg\Mods\MODNAME)
Mods that are realism mods and such, altering the base game, go in the data folder. So Blitzkrieg\Data.
