Is there such thing as a "free-play mode"?
Basically, is there such thing as some kind of mode where you can basically get any truck with no cost, test vehicles, etc. I wondered since I want to test some vehicles I cannot afford. Is that possible?

There is no "sandbox mode" in this game. However it is pretty easy to mod the save and get as much money as you like

Ya, you just have to go into your game files and edit the value of money. It is super easy. If you want help ding it I can explain it.

Can you edit how much you start off with a specific save file?

Yes. You just have to start a game, save, quit game. Then edit the game file with however much money you want. Restart game and load that save.

Well...not exaclty, you can edit the amount of money you have after you create a savegame file. So I guess you could just start a new game then save and exit and the go and edit the amount of money that you have in that savegame.

You don't have to restart the game.

Thats nice but prevents others who have the same question from learning the answer.

Exactly as Vektor says:

1.You just have to start a game, save, quit game.

2.Then edit the game file with however much money you want. Browse to C:\Users\Username\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2015. Note the several Save# folders. Select the one that has your save (look at timestamp). Use Notepad++ to open the careerSavgame.xml. Look for the line "money" and change the figure in the quotes. Save.

3.Restart game and have fun "testing"

There is also the money mod that gives you one million creds instantly.
Fosfan48 Dec 31, 2014 @ 2:20am
no but there is a mod where all you do is press a button and it gives you money

I used the money cheat ...bad boy! But I then keep that 'save' for testing equipment I might want to buy but play the game properly on another save because it is so satisfying to harvest your own crop and see the cash ding ding ding into your pocket as you deliver it .

I just keep my two large fields constantly churning out the money sticks and stash cash away to buy some funky forestry equipment. Problem is, as soon as I have a wedge, I can't resist buying a bigger harvester or trailer so I keep resetting myself. No biggie though as I'm still enjoying the plough, sow, grow, harvest, transport cycle I'm currently stuck in. Apart from the Chucks, it's all organic at Bewleys farm :)
