You need a few different tractors to be able to do "everything". I use the New Holland T6.160 for moving manure and wood chips. For general farm work I use the New Holland T8.320.

I didnt choose them because of any brand loyalty I just chose them because they work well.

Oh also if you plan on working at the Biogas Plant you MUST have the Liebherr Front Wheel loader.

Pretty much this. Since some implements have low or high hitches, it forces you to use multiple tractors to handle them. For example , none of the tractors 320 HP and above can attach to the tedder.

Agree about the wheel loader, luckily it doubles as your manure handler.

when buying tractors look at the maintance cost, you might want to upgrade sooner than later cause 1 agrotron tractor costs over 400 euro each day, while a newer tractor might cost less than 100 euro.. so basicly you can have 4 or 5 newer tractors for the same cost as one old agrotron tractor :9 they cost more in one go to buy but I think they make it up for the less cost to maintain.. just look at that what tools you need then look at the tractors you can use for the tools but you need cash to buy

Wrong you can do everything with one type of tractor, I use the Case Magnum myself. If you want to connect it to the tools/trailers that require the different hitch you just put a weight on the back of the tractor then connect the item to the weight.

The only thing I use a New Holland for is fertilizing so I can have a large fertilizer on the back and a small one on the front so I can fertilize larger fields or multiple fields withouth running out.

Does the weight method work if the implement requires the use of PTO?

This probably something I wouldn't do just because I like to use multiple tractors and using a weight in that manner seems to add to the unrealistic nature of the game.

Yes, unfortunately. Hopefully this will be fixed in a future patch.

The Magnum is a good tractor I agree, I wouldnt use the weight in that manner though, having more tractors is a way to make the maintance cost go up and thus increases the difficulty alittle aswell, especially if youre not using missions to speed up money count.. :)

You can have a couple tractors and the maintenance cost is not going to be a problem. You can make enough money even without doing missions with crops and logging to cover the maintenenace costs without too much effort even on hard.

I would have to say the best tractor for me and it's only because I think it's the most versatile is the NH T6-160 FEL. YMMV.
In the higher HP models I really like the NH T8-435.

Renault Ares 620RZ and New Holland T8.240 are my favourite mods :)
