Memory leak?
After 100 hours in game I started cutting down trees and bought the wood chipper. A lot of crashing after that. Randon freezes then kicked to desktop. It is getting very annoying if I forget to save often. I hope they are aware of this issue and plan on fixing it.

Edit: I should be more clear. Within 6 hours of constant gameplay, my game will crash randomly despite what I am doing in game. It has never crashed more than 3 times during 8-10 hours of gameplay. The biggest issue is losing progress if you forget to save.

My only issue is resetting balers. I reset baler and they drop the bales that were inside them, which have to be picked up with a front loader, while still having two bales inside when i go to the baler. And some vehicles move on me when i load the game back up and slows down when the game saves (game autosaves). But thats it

I'm having the same issue with lots of crashes, happening after many hours gameplay. I'm just wondering if any of you have hens, because I think it all started after I bought some hens,,, I have sold them all now and sold all the eggs wanna see if if the crashes stops happening then, I will post here about the reults.

This piece of **** caused my first game crash a long time ago when i was trying hard to put a small "ignored" log into the chipper again. After 1-2 hours of frustration, i sold it back and since i have try the modded one but it was just a little better. So i gived up about wood chipping. I just can wish Giant will fix it, like tons of people are asking.

My others crash, before 100 hours, (3-5 crash) happened when using a front loader to move some trees branchs or logs. The crash after 100 hours, no idea what caused them but it was totally insane to the point if nearly stopped to play the game and remove it. Maybe something i did (my post before this one in this topic) helped, cause i can play now and today i played some hours and got a single Giant engine crash when the SWADRO 2000 bounced on a road side.

So why was my post Quoted? any hens? :)

I found if your chainsaw cuts into the ground when felling a tree it crashes EVERY time. Never had any crashes other than that.

My specs:

sys ram 16gb
vram 2gb
OS 64bit

Are you playing x64 (64bit ver) ?
How much sys ram ?
How much vram?
64bit os?
GPU drivers up to date?

I have around 15 mods,100 chickens, 100 cows, playing the 64 bit verion with no problems. MY sys ram usage is around 4.5gb in game.

FS 15 sys Requirements is 3gb (no mods). FS15 + my 64 bit OS +15mods uses more than 4gb of sys ram(around 4.5gb). If you don't use any texture mods 1.5 gb vram video card is more than enough for max settings at 1080p(my vram usage @ 1080p max settings is around 1.2 gb.

Sometimes steam runs the (x86)32bit version automatically, try this:

Click windows start button, go to my computer find steam folder in (Program files x86) - steamapps - common -farming simulator 2015 - x64 - double click farmingsimulator 2015 exe and run it from your desktop.

I had a lot of crashes but after updateing my nvidea drivers to 344.75 the crashes stopped though I still run the autosave mod justincase :harvester:

@RenardSolitaire

That sounds like a lot of work. ;) I was hoping for a fix, not a workaround though.

@Scarecrow

I do have hens, but they did fine in the first 100 hours.

@Vaupell

If your game crashes again, before you 'reset' your computer, instead wait about 5 mintues to see if it kicks you to desktop. If so, that means we may have the same issue.

yeah the hens arent causing the crahes for sure, and I am running the 64 bit version on 64 bit system still crashes ocur and I have 8 GB ram on really good video card with updated drivers and all, and it ran perfect for 100 hours on it too just dont understand why this happend now

Run the FS15 exe from desktop from the x64 folder. Sometimes steam runs x86 automatically.

I run all my steam x64 (64bit) exe games from desktop because steam on some games like Euro truck simulator 2, Kerbal space program launches x86 (32bit) automatically.

For me the only game that crashes is kerbal after installing mods. But this game the only thing that happening is balers dropping bales after resetting the baler that can only be picked up manually. I have 500 chickens. I'm also have an issue with chippers not eating through all the wood i give it and some pieces won't go through. Wondering if anyone else seen this problem and know how to prevent it or something.

Too many mods in the 32bit version causes crashes because 32bit programs are limited to 3.2GB of RAM use.
To play steam ver of kerbal in 64 bit you have to run from desktop (KSP_x64.exe). Steam runs the game in 32bit, that's why you have problems with mods.

I run FS15 exe x64 (64bit) from desktop and have no memory problems, no crashes.
