Does anyone known if you can pick up a wrapped round bale with bale forks
And if I bale it is square bales because they stay put.
Otherwise the flow is
straw -> forage wagon -> dump at cows OR into mixing stations
grass -> forage wagon -> dump at cows OR into mixing stations
chaff -> BGA OR tower silos -> silage -> dump at cows OR into mixing stations
mixed feeding -> dump at cows = 90% productivity 100% with straw
Reason I do this is you can handle much larger volumes if all you have to do is fill, transport, dump, and repeat.
Why not just get Mchale square baler mod. Then you can have square silage bales
How do you figure they suck and round bales are more stable? As in round bales fall over less or coding wise round bales wont crash?
My round bales are 3500L and square ones are 4000L. I was surprised to see this also since I read on wikia that all bales are 4000L. I don't know what to make of this.
Anyhow I switched to square bales altogether.
PS. round bales were made using a mod krone ultima baler-wrapper, but the diameter was 1.3 since any other diameter wouldn't get picked up by the bale collector, so i figured that's the standard diameter.
The Krone Ultima comes with 1.3 m bales with 3500L, 1.4 m bales with 4000L and the 1.5 m bales that holds 5000L..
So what you saw was correct..
