I just bought the HEM 583 wood chiper, it come with the crane are attached and I can operate the are left right up down and extend it too.
But the issue I am having is that I can not see a function to open the claw, I've been at it a while now, has any one used this equipment and if so could you tell mehow to open the claw to pick up the cut wood I have.

you need to hold both LB and RB on the mouse to activate the claw open and closed

Thanks Philly I just tried it now and it worked brilliant, I would have bever have guessed that.

Any one have any tips on using the wood chipper? I know it will take time to get wood in their to chip, Ive cut the wood in to managable two three foot bits but think I suffer from phantom branches.

Your best bet is to stick to fir trees, which is also the only ones you can plant yourself. :-)

There is an option menu with controls for a reason ;)

It's broken, and will mostly chop straight, short logs. Instead of chopping the tiny branches and crooked logs, that you might actually WANT to get rid of...

It was the crooked type logs I was trying to get rid off too, glad it is not just me.
