Difference between: Cultivated land & 'Sown' Land
I understand sown land is when the seeds are planted and then they will grow and be harvested by the harvester, but once harvested, can i not just re-sow the land, instead of havng to use a cultivator and then sowing the land?

I might seem really dumb right now, but on the intro, you are shown how to sow on cultivated land, and you cultivate what seems to be sown land (which you have previously harvested).

Just a new guy looking for some help. Thanks! :meatytears:

Just as in real life the land must be cultivated before replanting.

Each crop cycle will consist of cultivating, sowing, fertilizing, harvesting. The fertilizing may be done at any step.

There is a sowing machine that can sow directly on uncultivated land. Its the one that cost around 55 000.

After you finish any "work" speed time up with "8" and slow it back down with "7"

You do not need fertilizer (and there are several types) but it does double your yeild.

YES!!! you do need a fertilizing machine of some sort it will double the yield of the harvest!!!!!!!!

Also plant wheat or barley, you get twice the yield as canola.

In real life you can direct drill without anykind of cultivation ..... most farm still plough the land before cultivating as well .... mintill is pretty common place but you still need to plough before planting potato's and probably sugar beet (not sure about sugar beet)

you should look for the Väderstad seeder, it oly sows wheat barly canola and grass, but can be used directly o a frenshly harvested field.

Canola, wheat and barley all yeild a similar amount of cash per ha. The thing is canola is good when you have small machinary as it takes longer to fill the harvester. Once you have cash and equipment wheat and barley become more efficient as they also yeild straw that can be used for cattle or sold.

However, it is worth growing all kinds of crops and saving them untill the great demand missions come up.
Arcticspyder Jan 8, 2015 @ 3:05pm
While canola is the highest priced per ton of all the grains, wheat and barley come up in the demands more often and in the missions more often. At this point in the game I have several large fields of each type of grain and crop, unless you are growing it for silage/biogas corn is a waste.
