If you are in the process of recording a course you can pause the recording and delete the past waypoints if you need. But once it's saved, that's the end of it.
I have not used it yet, but there it is for you to try.
Also, there are features I'd like to add, and since it's written in VB and I've been a professional VB programmer for about 20 years, it wouldn't be too hard to maintain an updated version.
The current version also automatically loads the last course & map you used, instead of having to find them each time.
I read an old post on one of the mod hosting sites saying that the original author had no intention of working on the program any more and didn't care what anyone did with it. (Hence releasing the source.) If that's accurate I'd be happy to post the updated version for others to use. (The program hadn't been updated since 2011, I think?)
I'd suggust contacting them and seeing if it's ok.
Hey!
if you need a tester - drop me a line - I use CP WAY too much ;-)
Sounds like you are on to something though! I'd like to try itr when you feel it's ready for release!
Pawpouk was the original poster, and I believe the programmer. Not sure who PromGames is, but they don't appear to have posted since 2015.
From what I understand the programmer released the source (which is how I got hold of it), and perhaps someone else is also working on a new version from that same source?
Anyway, Pawpouk is the person I need to speak to - until I do I won't release anything because I don't want to step on anyone's toes.
Hi Sighman,
I would like to clarify you some points:
1.- I am PromGames, and yes I am active in developing CourseplayEditor
2.- You are right, papowk is the original author of the version for FS2011. Just that.
http://fs-uk.com/mods/view/26115/courseplay-path-editor-v1-1
3.- Horoman ask permission to Papowk as he already said in this comment https://github.com/Courseplay/courseplay/issues/216
, then he published a new version for FS2013 in GitHub called CourseDrawer. You can see the version here:
https://github.com/horoman/CoursePlay-Editor
Then Satisis, Developer of Courseplay, starts to develop the program in a different enviroment WXWidget and codeblocks, you can see in this github page https://github.com/Satissis/CourseplayEditor
4.- Then, from Horomans Git and Satisis ideas, I start to develop courseplay editor and modify many errors that the program had from Papowk and Horoman. I published my first version of Coursedrawer for FS15 in:
http://www.modsfarming.com/t560-recom-coursedrawer-4-0-6?highlight=coursedrawer
This was in January 2015
5.- I have continue developing the program, solving more isuues and connecting with savegames of the player. Translate to different languages and include additional tools.
6.- I have connected the program with a special webPage we have created where we are storing courseplay courses from players after registration
http://ugamers.eu/index.php/file-zone
I expect this will give a clear idea about the job done by different people around this program.
I will be very glad if you want to collaborate with the project. Your expertise in VB Net will be a good thing. There is no sense that you start now where we start two years ago. It will be better to join efforts.
I think you can mail me throug here, but you can also find me in GitHub or in FSUk.
For any other user that wants to participate in the trial, just mail me.
