New Holland T4.75 Powerstar Use?
I really want to have a use for this tiny tractor, but with it's lack of front weight option, and low top speed, I'm struggling to see a reason to own one :( Anyone use this for anything? It's a really nice cheap and cheap to run tractor that must be ideal for something, just need to figure out what!

If thats the one with the fork-lift option , i traded in . If you have cows and feed them you could use it there with the bale forks

I use it for it's frontloader. It's cheap and pick up most things, ideal for early on when you first starting logging and can't afford the big machinery. :D:

Well I have the T6.160 which also has a front loader option, but it can also pull a cultivate/seeder, a full tipper trailer, won't tip up with a full fertilizer, and can do all the front loading duties of the T4.75 lol, just wish there was something the T4 could do, maybe wool loading? lol :P

good for pulling even know there isnt a front weight :)

I use it for loading sheep wool into the pickup for transport. I was using it for bales but it's too small and light and doesn't have the reach of the telehandler for the high stacks.

Put a small weight on the back and it's good for bales, pallets, a bucket of manure or even running a transport mission. It will pull your bale wrapper and bale trailer . You can use the small fertilizer spreader on the back end, you can also pull the water and petro tanks. It's just not good for any of the cultivators, seeders, big implements and big tippers.

I got an answer for this - it is the absolute cheapest dedicated Fertilizer Sprayer u can setup. 1 T4 and 1 Rear ferti spreader, £70 a day maintenance. Job done.

I just remembered seeing this thread and since ive literally just done this i thought i'd answer.

Testing showed 15MPH was the fastest a tractor could spread, T4 does 15mph with spreader.

That's an interesting point, Obiwan (will never tire of saying that lol). I had thought of using it as a dedicated sprayer, given that it could handle the small spreader, but was concerned it would still be slower than a bigger/faster tractor, but if spreading maxes at only 15MPH then it can do the job, so long as the small spreader has enough capacity to do bigger fields....though by then I'd probably have cows and be using slurry or manure anyway :P

Think I will buy one for the smaller jobs to do on the farm, it's mainly just 2 of us on the farm, maybe a 3rd if I can get my gf interested :P I might look at opening it up to serious farmers once it's more than just a field and a harvester + tipper :D lol

I use it at my cow pasture for moving silage, loading the feeder, moving bails and restocking glasshouses with manure. I put a 1000kg weight on the back and it makes a big difference to how useful it is.

Oh, Obiwan, did you try it with the spreader filled? it won't steer, it lifts the front wheels off the ground :(
maccas Nov 12, 2014 @ 3:41pm
Further to this, with a frontloader attachment on, it will just about keep the wheels down with a full sprayer or spreader on the back, so it is useable :D Ace! :D

OK, just for everyone's knowledge - AVOID the sprayer... 24m working width, so 2m less than the spreader, but it operates at 7MPH!! the small spreader does 15MPH, and the spreader trailer does 19MPH, both with a slightly bigger working width too!
